The Talladega County Sheriff's Reserve Unit is made up of men and women who volunteer their time and effort to help make Talladega County a safer and more pleasant community in which to live. Like regular deputies, Reserve Deputies receive ongoing training and are assigned alongside a regular deputy to perform various duties such as patrol functions, traffic control, security at community events, and special assignments.
Reserve Deputies are required to meet the same employment criteria as regular deputies. Reserve Deputies are required to qualify with their duty weapon, make the monthly meeting/training session, and to ride a minimum of 24 hours per quarter and pay monthly dues.
Requirements:
- U.S Citizen
- 21 Years Old
- High School or GED
- No Felony Conviction
- No Serious Misdemeanor Conviction
- Good Driving Record
The Talladega County Sheriff's Reserve Program has allowed many Reserve Deputies the opportunity to pursue full-time positions in law enforcement.
