Court Security Division
Deputies assigned to the court security division staff the public entrances to the Judicial Building in Talladega and the Courthouse Annex Building in Sylacauga. They operate the metal detectors and x-ray machines used to scan visitors for weapons when entering the buildings, which are prohibited by law. They are primarily responsible for the safety and security of the offices and employees, as well as the public, in and around these buildings. They also perform various other functions relating to court security during court proceedings being conducted at these locations.
